Yes — safety is at the heart of Somewhere Sisterhood. Our villa is designed as a safe space for solo female travelers in Sri Lanka. You’ll always be surrounded by supportive sisters, and the location in Ahangama is close to the beach, cafés, and surf spots. Many women come alone and leave with new friends, making it the perfect place if you’re traveling solo.

3. Can I book a private room or do I share accommodation at Somewhere Sisterhood?

At Somewhere Sisterhood, our villa is made up of private rooms for women who prefer their own cozy space. On request, you can also share your room with a friend – at 50% of the room rate – just let us know in advance so we can arrange it for you. No matter what you choose, you’ll have full access to all villa facilities, events and our supportive sisterhood community.

4. What activities and community events can I join during my stay?

Life at Somewhere Sisterhood is all about connection. Depending on the week, you can join surf sessions, yoga classes, beach clean-ups, shared dinners, creative workshops, sunsets or day trips around the south of Sri Lanka. We also host cozy sisterhood evenings where women share their stories and skills. There’s always something to do — or simply relax in the villa’s garden with a fresh coconut.

5. How long can I stay at Somewhere Sisterhood — short term or monthly rental?

You can book a short-term stay (one week or more) or choose a monthly rental if you’d like to settle in for longer. Many sisters extend their stay because they fall in love with the vibe! Whether you’re on a quick trip or planning to spend months in Sri Lanka, Somewhere Sisterhood is flexible.
